Putting data into context

Moving towards future workplaces and future workflows

Social Media has moved discussions into the digital realm – a platform which allows digital analysis, faster processing, and demands rapid reaction times at the same time as increasing the amount of content generated. That's the big challenge with big data facing companies today.

The key to solving that challenge, though, lies in being able to automatically interpret context from content. Context is critical in order to allow qualitative analysis of large amounts of content. Context allows content to be streamed into workflows, or classified appropriately to build both a qualitative and quantitative analysis of a particular situation.

As +Lee Smallwood states in his post, that means answering:
 ▪ Who = who's taking about this topic?
 ▪ What = what are they specifically saying?
 ▪ Why = why are they talking about it?
 ▪ Where = where are they talking about it?
 ▪ When = when are they most likely to talk about it?

That's where tools, like +NOD3x and other competitors in the semantic market, come into play: to help build a more comprehensive picture of all that content. And as we move towards a collaborative, conversational working paradigm, this sort of overview, combined with automatic processing of user generated content into customer-oriented workflows, will define the success of businesses in the future.

A Complete Guide to the NOD3x Dashboard

This is the first in a series of articles detailing exactly what NOD3x can tell you.

This article reviews the nine modules that you see within the real-time infographic dashboard that provides the answers to the 5W's:

 – Who = who's taking about this topic?
 – What = what are they specifically saying?
 – Why = why are they talking about it?
 – Where = where are they talking about it?
 – When = when are they most likely to talk about it?

Armed with this information alone you'll be well on your way to answering those questions that would normally take many hours to do manually.
