Natural technology: can we get more natural than that?

Biodegradable transistors, but not yet an ecosystem

If there's anything to learn from this, it's one thing: nature's thousands of years of experience is capable of providing technology beyond where we are in the artificial constructs world. But I think we're going to need to take a step beyond merely using naturally found substances in technological production: Living organic technology is the path the future will have to go, in order to bring the biological ecosystem we live in in line with the needs and desires we have.
