Generation Gap: Hand Gestures as an input interface

By | March 10, 2012
I don't particularly like the current 'hand gesture in the air' input form, as gestures can be easily taken out of context. But this glove-based input system is what my kids need. They already try touching the LCD monitor and wonder why the videos don't react when they 'click' on play. Hand gestures will probably concretize in this fashion and in the Kinect-style interactions with AR, not just 'hand waving in the air'.
