So, it seems that Google+ is successful enough to attract its first malware, before opening up to public and before launching its API.

It will be interesting to see how Google plans to gate data flow in and out of Google+ as a platform.

Security Warning:

Do not install Google+ Facebook Add-on

Already I warned everyone for installing Google+ related add-ons without checking its quality of the code. Hackers staying all around here and making some attractive addons to make their life successful.

Please do not use any addons unless it is officially released by Google+ Engineers.

Back to Google+Facebook Addon story:

This addon acts like malware and need to be removed immediately.

This addon runs a JavaScript automatically on start-up and sets your default browser search to a custom search page. (They make money by changing your browser’s default search engine without your knowledge!)

Also it scans your emails and adding it to your email signature for advertising among your email recipients. ( So this addon developer can read your emails I think. But I have no idea )

You can read more about this here: http://bit.ly/qh7xZv

Another fact: You have to complete a diploma to uninstall this script 🙁

If you love your Google+ friends, Re-share this. That’s all I can say!

There are mixed comments on Reddit – several users who have no issues uninstalling, despite the claims in the Reddit post about what this Crossrider addon does. Of course, since the script is server-side, it is also possible that the developers changed it since the Reddit post… I haven't analyzed the script myself, nor do I particularly have a desire to do so. 🙂
